Introduction
Geographical Information Systems (GIS) technology helps managers in decision-making and management processes in their daily lives. However, organizations that have these systems in their organic structures cannot use them correctly for various reasons. First, GIS and MIS (Management Information Systems) should be well defined and the relationship between them should be clarified and made available to managers in particular. Studies on how GIS can be deployed in the MIS information network in an organization, as well as how to use typical GIS applications to be used as MIS by organizations should be identified. It is important to show how a better and simpler GIS-based information management and decision support system can be provided in both private and public organizations. When combined with high information technologies and communication tools, GIS can be a solid basis for an effective MIS developed to meet identified needs. Adding a GIS component to a MIS gives a spatial dimension that enables a better understanding of events by localizing them in their environment. The database should not only be enriched with spatial data, but should also be developed with the use of MIS. The results of database queries should be demonstrated as spatial analyzes. Given these features, a MIS supported by GIS is becoming an advanced monitoring and decision-making tool.
