Introduction

The very idea of innovation is rooted in value creation and its realization in such context as social, business and in various levels firms, society, nation. Thus, Value-creating innovations are indispensible and have been well received by academics and practitioners. Innovation management with a systematic, holistic approach is one of the most significant sources of sustainable economic and social growth. It is a multidisiplinary approach concerned with the knowledge management, strategy, organizational culture and structure, project and portfolio management, and commercialization. All perspectives on Innovation Management focusing on key aspects (people, processes and technology) at individual, group, unit, organization, and society levels are welcomed in this conference track.

This track aims to provide a forum for researchers and reflective practitioners with an interest in presenting theoretical accounts underlying the phenomenon of innovation, empirical driven studies, emerging issues associated with any aspect of innovation. The track is open to all relevant research methodologies.

High quality and relevant papers from this track will be considered for selection for a special issue in one of the following journals: IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. Selected papers will need to expand in content and length in line with the requirements for standard research articles published in the respective journal.

Mehmet N. Aydin

Dr. Mehmet N. Aydin is Associate Professor at Department of Management Information Systems at Kadir Has University, Istanbul. He held various administrative duties including the director of INEO Technology Transfer Office and V. Dean of Faculty of Management at KHAS. He has provided organizations with proven expertise in the emerging field Corporate Innovations Systems, Technology Management, Data Science. He holds PhD in Management Information Systems from University of Twente, The Netherlands. He has international teaching experience (UT Netherlands, Institute for Innovation and Tech Management at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada) and international consultancy experience (Accenture), executive-level mentorship in various industries (Insurance, High Tech, Manufacturing). Dr. Aydin has published over 50 articles as journal papers (e.g., Journal of Database Management, Information Frontiers, Journal of Enterprise Management), book chapters (e.g., Springer series on Lecture Notes in Computer Science) conference proceedings (IFIP 8.1, CAISE). His contribution to the research field of method engineering and Information Systems Engineering is laudable and cited in various studies. He has been invited as a speaker for several public events and involved in various state, industry funded scientific projects as project leaders and leading researchers. Nuri Başoglu

Nuri A. Başoglu is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Design, Izmir Institute of Technology, Izmir, Turkey and managing the design of Technology Transfer Office at the university. His research interests are technology and innovation management, customer-focused product development, socio-technical aspects of technology, technology adaptation, intelligent adaptive human computer interfaces, information systems strategies. He has published articles in journals such as Journal of Product Innovation Management, Technology Forecasting and Social Change, Foresight, Journal of High Technology Management, Technology in Society, Computers in Human Behavior, Technology Analysis and Strategic Management, Journal of Medical Systems, International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making and , International Journal of Quality and Service Sciences. He received his BS in Industrial Engineering at Bogazici University in Turkey, and his MS and PhD in Business Administration at Istanbul University. He can be reached at nuribasoglu@iyte.edu.tr
